We're going to get on our bikes and ride them to some places where we can see cool birds!
We're partnering with the Antiracist Collective of Avid Birders, so we'll have some friends to help us identify and appreciate what we're seeing and hearing!
We will meet at Veteran's Field in Northampton. This route is a total of 5.6 miles, and is a mix of pavement and unpaved surfaces.
Since it will be early May, we could encounter some wet roads, or some mud. We will climb a total of 150 feet over the 5 miles, with a couple of shorter steeper climbs. That said, the route is mostly on flat roads, including a long section on the rail trail.
We will ride at about a 5-6 mph pace! We will be stopping several times to get off our bikes and look at birds!
