QC Big Ride for Gaza

All of our Charlotte bike friends will be coming together on February 10th to ride in solidarity with the Gaza Sunbirds.

We will be riding an 6.5 mile round trip route along the Charlotte rail trail. This paved trail will keep us on mostly flat, off-road paths with one hill and section of riding on the road. This is a no drop ride that will regroup at the top of our hill and give everyone a chance to catch their breath. We will also keep an easy pace never going over 10 m.p.h.

We can also decide whether to ride the road section or push our bikes on the sidewalk. Whatever we do...we do together.

We will end our ride at Optimist Hall with a short rest (you're welcome to get food or drinks). Then, if you want to ride back you can, or we will be right at the light rail and you can catch a train back to Atherton Mill. Again, this ride is to show support for the Gaza Sunbirds, a para-athelete cycling group based in Gaza. If you would like to carry anything with you to show your support, please bring that with you.

Starting Location: Atherton Mill -- 2000-2140 South Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203
