Our 2027 Mid South Gravel Team
-

Amy Anders (she/her)
Amy is a Missouri-based cyclist who rediscovered her love of riding in her forties and hasn't looked back since. She's completed the Katy Trail end-to-end, multiple times, and counts rails-to-trails riding among her greatest joys. Now she's taking on gravel: chasing new challenges, new places to ride, and the chance to build confidence one ride at a time.
Off the bike, she's a mom, yoga practitioner, new beekeeper, avid gardener, soccer fan, live music lover, and enthusiastic traveler. By day, she works in software. She can't wait to be part of this community, meet fellow riders, and grow alongside the Mid-South team.

Bryce Null (he/him)
Bryce didn't expect to fall this hard for gravel cycling after buying his first bike in May 2025. He joined the Two Wheel Tuesday group ride that summer and was hooked, training through winter on Zwift toward Mid South 2026.
At Mid South, he crashed at mile 21 and left by ambulance: a broken collarbone, concussion, and DNF. While healing, he volunteered at races and cooked for a weekly group ride, then pushed into a faster gravel group once back on the bike, with the Katy Trail just eight miles from home.
Off the bike, Bryce can often be found with his spouse and two cats, playing cozy co-op games, roasting coffee, or tagging along on birding trips. He's looking forward to the 2027 Mid South team and the adventure ahead.
-

Chris Harris (he/him)
Growing up in the PNW, you could always find Chris working on or riding his bike. Whether delivering newspapers or bombing through the neighborhood filbert orchards, that BMX was always with him. Fast forward nearly 30 years to 2016, and the bike bug was back.
Having recently left the corporate world, Chris is in the bike game bigger than ever. You'll find him rolling around Seattle and beyond, taking photos and seeing what's out there in the real world.

Claire Bailey (she/her)
Claire Bailey is a California native living in Houston, Texas, with her partner, two pups, and a feisty cat. She learned to ride a bike in 2020 and quickly fell in love with the freedom it gave her. Riding after work and on weekends opened up a new sense of adventure she never knew was possible.
After a few crashes, Claire stepped away from cycling for several years. In 2025, following the loss of her longtime Chihuahua companion, Penny, a friend encouraged her to get back on the bike and join her for weekend rides. As she rebuilt her confidence, improved her bike-handling skills, and increased her mileage, she rediscovered everything she loved about cycling.
As a geologist and outdoor enthusiast, Claire found cycling to be the most fun she'd had outside in years. Through riding, she discovered a welcoming community, meaningful friendships, and joyful movement. What began as a simple pastime has grown into a true passion.
-

Eliza Allison (she/her)
Eliza is a daily bike commuter originally from Montana who now called Portland Oregon home. She picked up gravel cycling because all her friends were doing it.
Eliza enjoys a bop around town with friends picking up snacks, seeing people, and enjoying all the fun things Portland has to offer. Her favorite place to ride in Portland is Forest Park.
-

Erica González (she/they)
Erica González is a native Chicana from the borderlands of south Texas. The Rio Grande Valley is a vibrant community that shaped her worldview, approach to life, and taco snobbery. Erica values connection, movement, family, friendship, food, and the outdoors. Erica has one dog, Papitas, and two cats, Nacho and Esqueleto (yes, from Nacho Libre).
-

James Sheu (he/him)
James Sheu is originally from California but now calls Oregon home. He loves hiking, backpacking, and of course, cycling. He's not very fast, but he likes to measure things by smiles per mile.
-
Jenny Tiskus (she/her)
Bio Coming Soon.
-

Judy Arnobit
Judy Arnobit loves playing outside, especially if it involves riding a bike and spotting mushrooms along the way. She found gravel and mountain biking thanks to the Philly Devo community in — you guessed it — Philadelphia, where she currently resides.
Outside of biking, Judy loves doing fiber arts, from embroidery to sewing her own clothes and now knitting, playing video games, seeing what she can keep alive in her backyard garden, watching women's sports, and going to live shows. Catch her riding with her squad, Wheels of the Woods, in the greater Philly region.
-

Leo Medina
Leo Medina is a first generation Mexican American living in the breathtaking city of Seattle, Washington. He gets down with social justice activism, live music (in any genre), and a good mezcal cocktail. In his corporate day-to-day, he claims cybersecurity as his wheelhouse.
For Leo, cycling has offered a steady supply of awe and exhilaration in a world that treads ever on toward the opposite. After completing the Seattle-to-Portland ride in 2026, he was hooked on the challenge of a hard road ride that pushed his limits. To keep growing—because he's nothing if not a fan of evolution—he's been dipping his pedals into bikepacking and mountain biking.

Mari Jo Koedyker (she/her)
MJ (Mari Jo Koedyker) is a fun seeker and a creative soul who loves joyful movement, living in Holland, MI. She loves her cats, singing and playing guitar, laughing, and new experiences. This past spring, MJ signed up and trained for RAGBRAI and fell in love with cycling.
She loves the way riding a bike causes you to change your perspective and observe your surroundings in a more intricate way. MJ is so excited to represent All Bodies on Bikes at Mid South this upcoming March, and can't wait to see all that she'll learn and where this experience takes her!
-

Meredith Purvis (she/her)
A Midwestern transplant to the East Coast, Meredith works in marketing for higher ed by day. By every other hour, she's a multimedia artist, writer, zine maker, and bookbinder.
When she's not in her studio, you'll find her out camping, hiking, or riding her bike. She splits her time between her gravel bike and an ebike she's a little too obsessed with. When she's not riding, she's usually plotting the next place to travel and explore.
-
Perry Rivera (he/him)
Perry grew up in a small cowtown — not so small anymore — called Denver, Colorado. Riding has not only been a huge part of his life, it's also been work for him for many years; he's been going on riding adventures his whole life, from the time he was a kid just trying to get some freedom, to now just trying to get some peace.
Perry was a bike messenger for 11 years and has since traded that in for a USPS uniform, making him more of a weekend warrior these days. If only riding alone could pay the bills.
-

Van Christiansen (they/them)
Van was born in Caracas, Venezuela, moved to the U.S. as a kid, and now calls Northeast Florida home. An urban planner whose career has included making places better for people walking and biking, Van didn't actually discover cycling until graduate school at Florida State (Go Noles!). That eventually led to years in active transportation planning, including helping advance the East Coast Greenway through Florida.
These days, Van is a casual cyclist getting back in the saddle and approaching this experience as a personal misogi: a challenge big enough that they're genuinely not sure they can do it. Off the saddle, Van can usually be found birding, reading, attempting unnecessarily ambitious baking projects, cooking, or at home with the love of their life — their wife — and their two dogs and cat.
